 DEGENERATION
Regardless of age, when spinal damage goes uncorrected, the body deposits calcium on the surface of adjacent bones that aren't moving properly. If neglected long enough, this splinting effect can result in complete fusion. This worsening process is called Subluxation Degeneration and can occur throughout the spine. Researchers recognize several phases of spinal decay.

LOWER BACK
Many of the pain-sensing nerves of the spine are in the facet joints, the two interlocking "fingers" at the back of each spinal bone. The normally smooth surfaces on which these joints glide, can become rough, irritated, and inflamed.
Surgical treatment often involves removing these facet joints, exposing the spinal cord. Another cause of lower back pain can be a bulging disc putting pressure on the spinal cord or a nearby nerve root.
The result is often numbness, tingling, or pain down the leg. Cutting away the bulging disc tissue can permanently alter its ability to separate and cushion the adjacent bones. This rarely addresses the underlying structural cause(s) of the problem.
Chiropractic doctors often consult with neurologists, radiologists, and orthopedicspecialists when designing care programs for patients with disc involvement.
The chiropractic approach is to help restore a more normal motion and position of affected spinal bones with specific chiropractic adjustments.
The simplicity and success of this approach has been documented in numerous research projects and has helped many patients avoid risky surgery. Find out if yours is a chiropractic case and enjoy the positive results that millions of patients have discovered.

TESTIMONIAL
Before I started coming to your office I was a mess. I would get these paralyzing migraine headaches and really uncomfortable lower back pain, it began a while ago as far as the back pain goes; I fell off a skateboard when I was five years old. As for the headaches those started when I got into college, and they seemed to get progressively worse as time went on it got so bad that my eyes would become very light sensitive and I would get really sick, and the back pain would make it hard to stand for more than ten minutes at a time without having a shooting pain up my spine. I his would make it very difficult to work at my job, because I would either have to leave early or call out sick all together.
I would take an aspirin and go to sleep after work until the pain subsided and I was able to function relatively normal again for a while until the pain came back. I could never get a good night's sleep because my back pain would always keep me from getting comfortable. I always wanted to get some chiropractic care, but I never knew where to go. I came to your office because my boss is under your care, as well as another co-worker. They both recommended your office to me.
My experience under your care has been nothing less than incredible, I couldn't have asked for any better treatment. The results I have had under your care have been amazing; I had no idea that my spinal misalignment had anything to do with my migraines until I came into your office. Since I started coming in I have not had a single migraine and my lower back pain had been reduced to a minimum. Ever since I started treatment at your office I am able to get a better night's sleep, I can complete a workout without any problems, and I can perform better at my job because I don't have to call out sick or leave early anymore.
I just want to say thank you so much for making my life a lot less painful and a little more relaxed. My fiancé wants to thank you too. He is just as grateful as I am for what you have done for me. I am going to start referring my friends and family to your office.
